If your site collects personal information, it should say what it collects, why, and how people can ask to see or correct it.
Data breaches. Under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, an organisation covered by the Privacy Act that suffers an eligible breach likely to cause serious harm has to notify the OAIC and the people affected. Quick detection and clean backups shorten the time between a problem and a response.
What we keep working. Maintenance keeps your software patched, your site monitored and your backups restorable. It does not decide your legal obligations, so use your own adviser for those, and tell us if your site handles sensitive information so we can explain plainly what we touch and what we do not.
